Nature is so powerful so strong. Capturing its essence is not easy -- your work becomes a dance with light and the weather. It takes you to a place within yourself. |
ARTIST STATEMENT
Since the early 80’s my work has been about cultural diversity and the need to work with, rather than against, our differences. This same hope to make a difference is presented in my abstract works. It’s not too late to save this planet, and if my work can spark a call to action on its behalf, I am grateful.
The power of color has always played an important role in my work. As a portrait artist, it allows me to shade a person’s emotional expressions. As an abstract artist, it offers a means to add emotion to the shades and tempo of nature and the seasons.
